Winsted firefighters were requested for mutual aid to assist the City of Torrington at a 2 alarm structure fire on Lake Street. Winsted firefighters were requested to provide a Rapid Intervention Team at the incident.

Firefighters responded with Engine 2 and Tactical Unit 8 with a full crew in each to provide the necessary assistance to our neighboring City.

Torrington firefighters performed an excellent job with a quick knockdown after having been faced with fire and heavy smoke on floors 2 and 3 on their arrival at the residential home.
